New Destiny utilizes the philosophies, values and beliefs of the Family Success Center Practice model to develop and implement programming centered around the needs of senior families residing in six of Paterson Housing Authority’s public housing senior sites. Key components include implementation of the “protective factors” offered through holistic programming focused on social/emotional health, enrichment and community engagement.
The Mobile Senior Success Center (MSSC) is designed to inspire, reduce isolation, and bring renewed hope to all residents—regardless of age, mobility, or ability—living in Paterson Housing Authority’s Senior Resident Sites.
Our MSSC program offers a range of services tailored to support the well-being of seniors, including:
A unique feature of the MSSC is the integration of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, available at each site to lead group therapy sessions and offer one-on-one consultations at no cost to residents. Through these services, the MSSC fosters a supportive and engaging environment for seniors to thrive.
The Mobile Senior Success Center program develops educational, and recreational workshops aim to meet the needs our senior population that promote healthy aging and independent living. Some enrichment activities include but are not limited to:
