The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is a dynamic and creative group of representatives from diverse communities who support The New Destiny (NDFSC) in decision-making, planning, understanding community needs, building relationships, and securing funds. Partnering with NDFSC staff, board members, and volunteers, CAB is dedicated to fostering community engagement through initiatives focused on leadership development, parent/child engagement, and community improvement.
Function and Responsibilities
Fundraising and Donations
The CAB is responsible for organizing and implementing strategies to secure financial support and donations for NDFSC programs.
Outreach
CAB members actively seek resources and partnerships to enhance the agency’s and Board’s impact within the community.
Program Planning
The CAB plans and coordinates holiday events like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter to foster community involvement and celebration.
Hospitality
CAB ensures that food and refreshments are set up and cleaned up at events, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all attendees.
Advocacy
CAB members work to identify and connect community members with valuable resources and support networks.
